A place for Hong Kong’s nature lovers to get wildlife geeky
Welcome to the Hong Kong Wildlife Spotters’ Wildlife Sightings Forum, a place that I hope can become a first port of call for anyone wanting to shout about their Hong Kong wildlife sightings and find out who’s seen what while out and about in Hong Kong.
After receiving so many comments on my previous post describing my surprise sighting of a couple of porcupines wandering across Lugard Road during a walk up the Peak, I’ve decided a dedicated forum will allow Hong Kong’s army of nature lovers to share their experiences, show-off their photos, and generally revel in the natural diversity that makes Hong Kong such a great place to be.
If you’ve had a run-in with any of Hong Kong’s crazy critters recently, let us know what, where and when, and I can add it to the map. Plus, if you’re lucky enough to get a quick photograph, it’d be great if you could post the picture too.
A note about tags: If you have a sighting to report, simple and accurate tagging will help others search for it later. All you need to do is state what you saw and where you saw it. So if, for example, you saw a bamboo snake on Peel Rise, your tags should be snakes, bamboo snake, peel rise, hong kong trail stage 3, aberdeen country park, hong kong island. Easy
