When Amazon released its list of shows coming in the fall of 2023, there was one notable absence. It is Load Was Season 3 affected by the recent strike?
We know that Load Season 3 production ended a while ago. It was hoped that the season would arrive by the fall of this year, but then Amazon released a list of shows that will arrive in the fall. Load was not on the list.
This list came out around the same time the actors’ strike started. It led to concerns that the strike would affect the streak. While production is complete, there is the issue of post-production.
Will Upload season 3 arrive in 2023?
Post-production may have taken place around the time the actors’ strike began. This is a process that can take around 10 to 11 months and there is no way that time will have passed by mid-July 2023.
If post-production was still underway when the strike began, the show is now in limbo. Post-production involves the actors a lot, especially when it comes to the additional dialogue that requires recording. With actors no longer working, that ADR work will not be completed.
If it was just CGI work, then it’s possible that the work will continue. That work is done by those not involved in the strike. That being said, some companies may choose to side with actors in solidarity, resulting in work not being completed for a fall 2023 release date.
It’s also possible that Amazon simply hasn’t released everything that’s coming later this year. Unbeatable It also wasn’t on the list, but we have reason to believe it’s still on track for a fall 2023 release. We’ll just have to wait and see at this point, because no one is talking.
