Oppenheimer It’s currently out in theaters to watch, but you’ll want to check it out at home, too. When will it be on DVD and Blu-ray?
You are now Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby Peaky Blinders, but now it’s time to see him in another role. He plays Julius Oppenheimer, a brilliant man from the past who changed warfare forever. He created the atomic bomb as a way to help the war, but later realized the damage it could do.
The film follows the creation of the bomb and then his attempt to prevent its use. Of course, we know from history that it has been used, and now there is always the threat of nuclear war.
This is a movie that you will want to see in theaters and then you will want to watch at home. The question for many is when it will be available on DVD and Blu-ray.
When is Oppenheimer on DVD and Blu-ray?
The Universal Pictures movie just hit theaters, so we don’t have a DVD release date yet. The good news is that we can look at other films from the same studio to get an idea of what to expect. We look at Knock at the cottage and The movie Super Mario Bros as an idea of when we might expect it.
It only lasted two months for The movie Super Mario Bros to go to DVD. Meanwhile, it took three months for the M. Night Shyamalan film to make its way to DVD and Blu-ray. We’re looking at something similar to the latter for Oppenheimerwhich puts us around Tuesday October 17th or Tuesday October 24th as the DVD release date.
What about Digital as it is often much earlier? It only lasted three weeks for Knock at the cottage to go Digital, but the animated family film took about six weeks. We could be looking at something by Tuesday September 5th for the Cillian Murphy movie coming out on Digital.
