Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a very popular and long-running television show, has recently been at the center of controversy. The latest development reveals that a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Asit Modi, Jatin Bajaj (Executive Producer) and Sohil Raman (Chief Operating Officer) on charges of sexual and mental harassment.
In response to the news, Asit Modi, the producer, released a statement denying all the allegations. He confirmed that they had given their statement to the police but were not aware of the FIR registration. As the matter is currently under investigation, he refrained from further comment.
Actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwala had filed a complaint against Asit Kumarr Modi and two other crew members the previous month. During an interaction, she shared her perspective, stating that she was falsely accused of getting into fights while intoxicated and misbehaving with male cast and crew members, which led to a hostile work environment. Jennifer has expressed confidence in proving her innocence in court as she has recorded evidence to support her claims. She mentioned waiting for updates from the police, although there has been limited progress in the case so far.
In the previous court, Asit Modi had denied the allegations leveled against him.
