Is the Amazon series suitable for children?

I’m a Virgo is one of Amazon’s new weekend releases. Is there something to stream with the kids around? What is the official age rating?

If you’re looking for something new to check out, then you’ll want to wait until the end of the week on Amazon. I’m a Virgo is a fantastic dark comedy series worth watching.

It follows Cootie, a 13-foot black man who has been hiding away from the world all his life. When he manages to get out, he has the opportunity to experience the world for himself. This includes meeting his idol, the real-life superhero, The Hero.

As a worldwide original, the official release time is Friday 23rd June at midnight in the UK. This means we may see the release the night before in North America, and it could be at a time when the kids are still awake. Will you have to wait for them to go to bed when it comes to this one?

I am an age group Virgo

The official age rating for the series is TV-14conformable Movie age rating. It’s the same as most network TV shows and means it’s aimed at 14+. However, there won’t be much in the way of nudity, foul language and violence. So, it might be somewhat suitable for some younger kids, but it might not be interesting for them.

Teens will definitely get a kick out of the show. It’s dark comedy still brings to light a lot of important subjects and is highly entertaining.

That being said, you will know your children best. It might be worth watching at least the first episode yourself to see if this new series is right for your kids. I recommend anything new that is not designed specifically for children.

I’m a Virgo comes to Prime Video Friday, June 23.
