The Wildcats are back and gearing up for their final performance, as Disney+ has revealed High School Musical: The Musical: The SeriesSeason 4 will be the last.
In a new teaser for the upcoming chapter that will premiere all eight episodes on Wednesday, August 9, the students at East High are joined by some familiar faces as the stars of the Disney Channel original franchise return. Along with the teaser, Disney+ also shared key art with the cast.

Inspired by the movies that started on Disney Channel in 2006, the streaming series is the longest-running Disney+ original series to date, making the ending a little bittersweet. In preparation for the final chapter, series creator and executive producer Tim Federle he wrote on social media, “After four years at East High, it’s time to graduate. This will be our last final season. This show brought the most amazing cast – and crew and collaborators – into my life. To the fans who have embraced our super-meta streak: “we don’t love you.” We can’t wait to share this epic 4th act with all of you.”
Debuting in 2019, the streaming series helped launch the careers of stars like Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett, among others. In its fourth season, the series will see the Wildcats return to East High, where they will prepare a stage production of Musical High School 3: Senior Year. In a meta turn of events, plans are interrupted when Disney makes the long-awaited announcement Musical high school 4: The reunion the movie will be shot on location of their beloved high school.
This makes way for the return of franchise stars Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, Bart Johnson, Alyson Reed, and Kaycee Stroh, who will be playing themselves as they reprise their roles. High school musical film roles as Chad Danforth, Taylor McKessie, Ryan Evans, Coach Jack Bolton, Mrs. Darbus, and Martha Cox. The feral cats from the TV series will serve as background extras in the film.
As for his cast HSMTMTS, returning stars for Season 4 include Joshua Bassett, Sofia Wylie, Dara Reneé, Julia Lester, Frankie Rodriguez, Kate Reinders and Liamani Segura. Other season 4 cast members include Kylie Cantrall, Matthew Sato, Caitlin Reilly, Vasthy Mompoint, Mark St. Cyr, Matt Cornett, Larry Saperstein, Joe Serafini, Adrian Lyles, and Saylor Bell Curda.
