Vihan V Verma bids farewell to Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
As Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin gears up for a significant leap of 20 years, several actors including Vihan V Verma will be leaving the show. Vihan stepped into the shoes of Mohit Chavan, replacing Adish Vaidya, in September 2021. Sharing his decision in a recent interview, he expresses, “I had doubts about continuing the show after the time jump as my character would be aged up to 50 years. Playing a 30-year-old at 23 was already a stretch. The previous time jump was strange at first, but I eventually adjusted. However, this future jump felt like too much and I wasn’t comfortable with it. Additionally, the focus would shift to the new cast after the jump. The creators understood my concerns and I’m glad my exit was amicable.”
Vihan will wrap up his shoot in the coming days. He shares, “It saddens me to say goodbye to a popular show and part with my co-stars. However, I am also excited about the new opportunities that await me. I don’t believe in breaks and I’ll be looking forward to going back to work as soon as I’m offered something exciting.”
Recently, Vihan and his co-actor Sneha Bhawsar, who portrays his wife on the show, were romantically linked. However, during our conversation with them, they denied the rumours. Vihan explains, “It became a bit awkward, especially for Sneha as she comes from a conservative family. I understand that such speculation is common in our profession, but it’s better to clear things up when they go overboard. We continue to be good friends.”
